As we grasp what God has done for us through his Son, he works a miracle in us by his Spirit. A desire to give away our money sacrificially wells up within us!

We see other people in need and we realise our money can make a difference. So we get excited about using our money as effectively as possible and we get very deliberate about ensuring that it makes a difference. And when we do that, it does - it can make an eternal difference to people’s lives!

Giving money does good things to us also. Just like a farmer loses his seed in the short-term when he sows it, but gains far more in the long-term, so for us, there is a harvest of all that we need, good works, righteousness and further generosity, as we become more like the God who is generous to us.

Christians’ giving generates thanks in others to God for his work in the hearts of church family. The effect is we are united in the mission Christ has given us.

St Philemon’s PCC (Parochial Church Council) is the legal charity for our church. The best way to give to it is via the Parish Giving Scheme as this automatically processes gift aid which adds 25% to your gift. To give in this way, please click the button below to email our Treasurer. You can also give via direct bank transfer using the details below:

Some people in our church family feel unable in conscience to give directly to the PCC, because of the decisions made by the Church of England bishops. Instead, they support the work of St Philemon’s by giving to the Liverpool Gospel Trust (LGT). LGT is a charity set up to support Anglican churches like St Philemon’s and they have already made a number of grants to us.
