Explore Group is a relaxed environment to discuss Jesus, ask your questions, investigate the claims of the Bible, and share your point of view.
Whether you're just checking it out, brand new to Christianity, or finding your way back to church, you're invited to explore Jesus.
The next group runs from 26th April to 17th May.
The Explore Group takes place over four relaxed sessions. We think about what’s missing in our lives, why the Bible can be trusted, what the real problem is, and how Jesus changes everything.
Arrive and be welcomed by our team. We start at 1pm with a home cooked lunch and pudding. Have a seat and get to know the people sitting near you.
After we’ve eaten, we get to hear two or three short talks (6 or 7 minutes each). These talks are designed to outline the basic message of Christianity in a simple and clear way. They address some big questions, such as: Who is Jesus? Why is his death important? What’s the evidence?
In between the talks, there’s time to discuss what you’ve heard in pairs or threes.
You’ll be able to bring up questions with your pair, and there’ll be a Q&A too. This is a space where you can openly share your thoughts about faith and life and hear from others too. Speak as much or as little as you like – it’s up to you.
Jesus changes people’s lives. So, in understanding Christianity, it’s useful to hear people’s stories. Stories of how people became Christians in the first place, and stories of what God’s done in their lives since. So each Explore Group, we have an interview with a Christian.
We’ll finish at 3pm. But we won’t chuck you out if you want to keep chatting. Many people find the conversations have been so interesting that they want to carry them on for longer.
Most people find they enjoy the group and come to all the sessions. But if you decide that one was enough, there’s no commitment to come back the next week.
